in the Milltowner Shopping Center, 12505 NW Cornell

We are excited to announce that we have opened the Cedar Mill Heritage Center in the big room behind the Cedar Mill News office. We'll have old-time holiday decorations in addition to the display of photos and historical objects.

We created our first display using the Cedar Mill History photo collection, along with artifacts that have been collected and loaned from the Washington County Museum.

If you have items that can help us tell the Cedar Mill History story, please let us know! We are interested in both loans and donations of items in use in the area prior to 1963: everything from farming, logging, and household items to advertising materials, journals, books, and other artifacts. The Cedar Mill Historical Society is a non-profit, 501c3 organization, so your donations may be tax-deductible.

Please contact us at cedarmillhistory@gmail.com if you'd like to help or if you have items for the display.

Cedar Mill History book

These pages contain excerpts from the book, "Cedar Mill History" by Linda S. Dodds and Nancy A. Olson. The book is out of print, but copies are available at the Cedar Mill library, and occasionally at Powell's.

We're also including stories contributed by Cedar Mill residents about their memories. If you have a story, or know someone who does, please email us.

The Cedar Mill Historical Society is a 501(c)3 charitable organization formed to further the preservation and education about our community's past. Visit the Cedar Mill History Project for some ideas on how we can do this, and email us if you'd like more information: info@cedarmillhistory.org.
